We all know how important throwing events can be for your yoga business. They get you out there to a larger audience, and allow you to meet people that support you in person, rather than just hearing from them through email or over the phone. It also opens a lot of opportunities for you because there may be possible investors and partners that you can connect with, and potentially even work with.
Having said that, it can also be a very stressful time – especially if you’ve never done this before, because there are so many different areas you need to cover in order to make sure that everything goes well and runs smoothly. Fortunately for you – here is a list of the most important things to cover.
Display your products properly.
So many people get caught up in the catering and hospitality side of events, that they soon forget about why they’re even being thrown – leaving vital things last minute because they hadn’t even thought about them. Most of the time, you’ll be wanting to show off any new products, or remind everyone how good your services are. So they need to be on show for everyone to see as soon as they walk through the door. You want people to know exactly what it is that you do, and don’t let them forget it. You can do this with the little things that are so easy to look past, but that’s why less is more with tabletop display stands. They’re simple, effective, and do exactly what you need them to do.
Be a social butterfly.
The idea seems pretty hard because you’ve got so many other things to do, but that is why you ensure you have helping hands, so you can focus on all the other important things – like your guests. It’s no good inviting all those very important people to your event if you’re nowhere to be seen. That doesn’t do you any favours at all. So make sure that you’re present, say a few words at the beginning and end of the night in front of everyone as a whole, but then make a conscious effort to go around introducing yourself to new people throughout, and sharing interests and good conversion. This not only gives you chance to work your sales pitch in (not too aggressively!!!), it also gives you the chance to show people who the clever mastermind behind all of the hard work is.
Now you have a couple of the most important things to focus on – you can begin your plan of action. The more prepared you are in advance, the better the overall outcome will be. Just remember, sometimes things don’t always go to plan – but that’s okay! Go with the flow, and always have a backup plan just in case. Better safe than sorry, right? Right!!
