Don’t Let Your Customers Leave

What would a business be without its customers? It would be nothing, yet there are so many companies out there who just don’t value their customers one bit! The more that you have attracted to your company, the more money you’re going to make. No, getting them interested in your company is a big part of it which is governed by marketing, but actually keeping them as lifelong customers is near enough impossible. There’s just so many reasons that a customer might leave, and even the slightest thing that you do out of place could upset them. From the way that you interact with them, to switching the design of one of your products or services. But, we don’t want to focus on why they might leave, we want to focus on how you can make them stay. One of the great ways of doing this is by using something like samcart, which is a tool you can implement to the checkout area of your website, and it funnels customers to other areas. For example, it could be a percentage off the order, a percentage off the next order, or whatever option you might choose. Considering they’re already interested enough in one of your products, it won’t be hard to catch their eye with another product if you use a tool like this. It’s great for increase sales, increasing customer satisfaction, and upselling some areas of your company that might be struggling.

Following Up On Bad Reviews

You would be silly to think that having a bad review and ignoring it is just going to make the problem go away. Once a review has been wrote, it’s there for all of the world to see, and you would be shocked at how many potential customers actually would turn away from your company just because of one bad review. People like to see a company that is praised, in the hope that their experience will be a cut above the rest compared to one that other companies would give them. So, never ignore a review, always show your presence, and make the situation right. Even if the best that you can do is apologise sincerely, and state that you have looked into the matter, which you should do anyway. So, for example, if a customer has left a review about how one of your staff spoke to them during their visit to your store, over the phone or email, you tell the customer that the staff member is question has been dealt with. Or in other such words. You have to let the customer know that you respect their view, and you want to change, or improve what happened. At least that way, you have some chance of the customer returning, or you at least show yourself as a caring company to other potential customers. It works will all complaints that you would perhaps get!

Customer First Approach

We’re talking a lot about customers in this article, but that’s because they really are the key to success within your business. If you don’t put your customers first, there’s no way you’re going to be successful in business, but you’d be surprised at how many companies actually put the customers to the bottom. Some do the bare minimum to keep their customers happy, and it shows so much in their reviews, and in their success. So, to put the customers first, you need to know what they want, and what they don’t want. This is pretty easy to find out, one way of doing it is to ask them to complete a survey or questionnaire! Making sure you follow the steps above is also going to be a big help. But, the one thing you really need to focus on, is making sure your other employees know the standard at which you wish the customers to be treated. Not all of them will know how to deal with difficult situations, and that’s where it can start to come across a little bit rude on their behalf. If training is given when they’re initially hired, it should mean more success for your company! If you feel as though you already do put your customers first, you need to think of ways that you can go above and beyond to make sure that they’re happy. Think of things such as customer rewards, and random money off incentives for those customers who have made multiple purchases.

Cash Injection

So, just veering away from customers to finish off. If your business is flatlining because you’re running out of funds, it’s time to decide if you need a cash injection. If you’re a small business, you could always try methods such as peer to peer lending, which is where another business will invest their money into yours, in order to get a return when things pick back up again. This can be a length process to sort, but at least you know you would be having money coming your way.
