This week on the podcast I am joined by Susi Hately. Susi has a B.Sc. in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Physiology, is a yoga teacher, a yoga therapist, and a lover of anatomy and functional movement. After working in occupational therapy and at a pain center, Susi combined her passion for helping people feel good in their bodies with yoga. Now, Susi runs a business called Functional Synergy where she trains yoga teachers to feel more comfortable and confident with anatomy and working with different and unique bodies.
On this episode, Susi and I talk about her journey from a kinesiologist to a yoga teacher and how she was able to blend her passion for her yoga with her passion for pain management. We also talk about how Susi has been able to create a successful business training yoga teachers on better, more functional anatomy, and some of the areas of asana that we may not be teaching correctly.
