Boosting a Struggling Yoga Business

When you first opened your yoga business, you probably didn’t think anything could be better. Practice is fantastic at the best of times, let alone when you get to spread the love. In fact, expanding your reach in this way can take the teachings of yoga to a whole new level. If you thought your practices were transformative before, it’s nothing compared to having a class behind you.

But, despite the seeming popularity of your early days, your classes have dropped off in attendance. As such, you’re barely managing to make the rent on your practice space. If things don’t change soon, you’re going to be in trouble. Here are a few ways that you can boost your struggling yoga business:

Host offers on session bundles

A fantastic way to keep people coming is to ensure they pay for a bundle of sessions rather than the odd one. This lack of interest could be nothing more than avoidance from your regulars. We all skip a session or two now and again. But, if you get them paying for a set amount of classes at once, there’s more chance they’ll turn up. So, work out how little you can charge while still breaking a profit, and let previous customers know about the deal. You could do this through a newsletter, or even by working with a company who can help you send web sms as part of integrated marketing. Either way, you want this to land straight where your students can see it. Encourage them, too, to tell their friends. The more, the merrier!

Bring something new to the table

Often, sessions alone aren’t enough to bring a company back from the brink. Instead, you might want to consider doing something few others are. Having an edge is what could really make your name. And, it can even ensure you’re making more profit. What you choose here is up to you. You might want to focus on building an online community through a blog or YouTube channel. That way, you stand to make extra through advertising and promotions. Or, you might want to focus on selling merchandise such as blocks and mats. Either way, these can be fantastic ways to get your name known and earn at the same time.

Collaborate with established names

It’s also worth reaching out to established names and asking for collaborations. This might mean that you work together to host a joint class, or merely shout each other out online. Either way, this is the ideal opportunity to increase your custom. What’s more, the openness within the yoga community ensures this could be a perfect choice. So don’t be afraid to reach out. We’re all in this together, after all.
