Business Lessons
- You are there for your students. Leave your stuff at the door.
- Teach as much as you can – teach your friends, do community classes, etc.
- Practice what you preach
- Trust that your message is good enough. Your message doesn’t have to be some other yoga teacher’s message.
- Always come back to your why. Why are you doing what you do?
- You are a yoga teacher on and off the mat
- Do your research to develop your own training manual – don’t copy other training manuals
- Track your hours as a teacher! You need them if you want to develop your own training 🙂
- Surround yourself with teachers that you respect and that you can call on when you need them
- Always be yourself. Don’t try to be anyone but YOU!
- It doesn’t need to be fancy – remember that you are teaching meditation, focus & concentration
- If you get bored, discover the poses in a new way
- Never stop studying yoga philosophy
- Teach for every student
