Business Lessons from this Episode:
- Doing things that you don’t love doing can help you to discover the things you do love doing
- Offer classes for free while traveling
- Make a CV / resume, dress generic and go to every studio and ask them if they have opportunities to teach. If they say “no”, ask them to be on the sub list.
- Hit the ground running – say yes to as many opportunities as you can!
- When you’re a new yoga teacher, you have to teach as much as you can to learn what you like and what you don’t like
- Teach yoga for donation somewhere unconventional, like a park
- Be persistent and don’t give up!
- Cold call festivals – the worst they will say is no!
- Take opportunities to connect with well known yoga teachers – attend festivals and network!
- Get use to hearing “no”, but just keep pushing forward
- Instagram can be lucrative in an indirect way, as it allows you to meet new people and opens up opportunities for you to teach in places you may not have taught in otherwise
- What is your message? What is your brand? What do you want to offer?
- And much more… Here’s the episode!
